Quick Mental Health Check-In:
5 Essential Questions
Regular mental health check-ins to help you stay grounded and recognize when you need extra support. Use these questions to assess your wellbeing:
1. How Are You Really Feeling? Rate your emotional state honestly. What emotions have been showing up most? Notice if you’re feeling significantly different from your usual baseline—that’s often a signal to pay closer attention.
2. What’s Your Body Telling You? Check your physical indicators: sleep quality, energy levels, appetite, and any tension you’re carrying. Physical symptoms often reflect our mental state before we consciously recognize stress.
3. Are You Connected? When did you last have a meaningful conversation? Do you feel comfortable reaching out when you need support? Isolation can creep in quietly, so assess whether your relationships need attention.
4. What’s Working (and What’s Not)? Identify your main stressors and evaluate your coping strategies. Are your current tools effective? If not, it might be time to try something new or seek additional support.
5. Are You Caring for Yourself? Beyond basic needs, are you making time for joy? Are you maintaining boundaries? Sometimes we neglect self-care during busy or stressful periods—noticing this is the first step to change.
