Duncanville vs DeSoto
It’s a matchup between state-ranked and national powerhouse programs as No. 10 Duncanville faces No. 19 DeSoto. Last season, former Duncanville star wide receiver Dakorien Moore — now at Oregon — put on a show with four touchdowns to lift the Panthers to a revenge win over DeSoto. This year, Duncanville is without Moore and quarterback Keelon Russell, now at Alabama, and will turn to three-star TCU commit Ayson “Boogie” Theus and four-star playmaker Trenton Yancey, who holds 38 college offers. On defense, four-star Florida commit KJ Ford will lead the charge. DeSoto comes in with strong momentum after defeating state-ranked Waxahachie — the same team that handed Duncanville a loss earlier in the season. Key players to watch for DeSoto include SaRod Baker and USC commit Ethan Feaster.
Mansfield Lake Ridge vs North Crowley
State-ranked No. 16 North Crowley takes on Mansfield Lake Ridge in a key Class 6A matchup. The Panthers are among the few teams in the area to rank inside the top 20 in both scoring offense and defense, averaging 37.8 points per game while allowing just 21.8. Their impressive résumé includes wins over Rockwall, Denton Guyer, and DeSoto. North Crowley’s rushing attack is well-balanced, featuring two running backs who have each surpassed 300 yards on the ground. Lake Ridge, meanwhile, boasts one of the top rushing offenses in Class 6A, averaging 249.2 yards per game, with four players already eclipsing the 490-yard mark this season.
North Forney vs Rockwall health
State-ranked No. 4 North Forney takes on Rockwall Health in a key Class 6A matchup. Four-star Tennessee commit Legend Bey has been electric this season, leading all 6A players with 15 rushing touchdowns. He’s rushed for 702 yards at an impressive 12.1 yards per carry, powering North Forney to a 6-0 record. Bey, ranked as the No. 24 athlete nationally in the 2026 class, also showed his passing skills last week, throwing for 189 yards and three touchdowns on just four completions in a 71-19 win over Tyler Legacy. Heath returns from a bye week looking to bounce back after a 49-42 loss to North Forney last season.
